New Moon in Capricorn

New Moon in Capricorn

It is no coincidence that we begin the school year during meticulous Virgo and start the calendar year under the forward-thinking energy of Capricorn. Astrology is the oldest science on this planet, and I believe many naysayers get caught up in the personality aspect of it, forgetting that—whether you believe in it or not—this rock we’re living on operates according to this ancient wisdom.

Anywho. If you haven’t heard, we’re getting our “ish” together over here. The Capricorn New Moon arrived to illuminate the road ahead. This is the moment to plan your year, using the precision, discipline, and endurance of the literal GOAT of the zodiac.

I’m here to remind you that planning your year does not have to be daunting. All you really need are realistic expectations and as much information as your consciousness allows, so you can create an educated, intentional blueprint for the year ahead.

Dream

Take some time to relax and have a little fun as you envision the year ahead. Think about places you want to visit, goals you want to reach, aesthetics you want to embody, foods you want to eat more of, and things you want to manifest—whether that’s more money, love, freedom, or ease.

I made mine using Adobe Express, but the possibilities are endless. The most important part is that you enjoy the process. If recording yourself talking feels natural, do that. If you love to doodle, collage, or create Pinterest boards, follow that pull. Don’t confine yourself to any single medium when dreaming up the goodness ahead.

Education

Next, figure out what you need to make this year happen.
If you want to get certified, when does that certification start?
When can you realistically afford that vacation?
When is the festival you promised yourself you’d go to this year?

Information turns dreams into plans.

Make A Master List

A master list is exactly what it sounds like. When planning the year ahead, it’s helpful to set goals for each area of your life—career, finances, health, relationships, creativity, rest, and fun.

To make these goals more attainable, break them down into mini blueprints using the SMART method (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound).

You can also create dream boards for each quarter to keep your vision aligned and flexible throughout the year.

Make A Contract To Your self & Find A Silent Witness

Once everything is laid out, find an accountability person. Your ideal accountability witness is—surprise—someone who already holds you accountable. Take inventory of your life: who is the person that routinely checks in on your dreams?

This could be your counselor, your Capricorn bestie (see what I did there), or honestly—even your cat.

This witness isn’t here to coach you. If you want a life coach, go get one. This person is simply here to witness you as you look this year in the eyes and say: “I mean business.”

This is a threshold moment. A quiet initiation into the version of you that is ready to tend to their dreams with reverence and patience. Under this Capricorn New Moon, you are being asked to make sacred what you once treated as a wish. Speak your intentions aloud, anchor them into paper, breath, and time, trusting that every aligned step you take is being met by unseen support. The mountain is listening. The path is forming beneath your feet. All that is required now is your willingness to begin.
